Cable grids  and screening presses  are commonly used grids in treatment plant inlet structures, pump stations and water intake structures. They play an active role in protecting the process and equipment by keeping solids in the wastewater that will affect the treatment process and the operation of the treatment equipment. Especially in deep structures, this type of gratings and screening presses are preferred because they require less installation space, thanks to their structure that can be mounted at a 90 degree angle to the horizontal, and thus construction costs are reduced by keeping channel lengths and dimensions of the structures shorter.
